Films: Salem's Lot (1979), A Return to Salem's Lot (1987)
Alias: Various
Type: Mystical
Location: Civilized area
Height/Weight: That of average humans.
Affiliation: Evil
Summary: Remember Count Orlok? Remember how hideous he was compared to other vampires? Well, now there's an entire town with folks who look just like him. That's just dandy, isn't it?
History: Salem's Lot, Maine. A place only Stephen King could love (it's Maine, what'd you expect?). In typical vampire fashion, an arch-vampire named Kurt Barlow was delivered here in a wooden crate, and began killing and converting others in the town. Now he's got a vampire army ready to pick off survivors.
Notable Kills: Barlow can and will convert children. It's the "Little Vampire" reboot you never wanted at all.
Final Fate: Barlow gets a stake to the heart, but most of the vampire followers live on. That is, until the sequel, in which the replacement vampire leader is impaled on an American flag and the rest are burned to ashes by the sun.
Powers/Abilities: Standard vampire abilities.
Weakness: Standard vamp weaknesses. Holy water also glows when they're around.
Scariness Factor: 4-Well, they certainly brought back the Nos’ look in style, that's for sure. Those insane eyes and that chalky grey skin will haunt your dreams.
Trivia: -In the original Stephen King story, Salem's Lot is actually burned down in an effort to destroy the vampires. One that seems to succeed.
-Allegedly, most of the time the makeup for the vampires would fall off. It would hold for fifteen minutes at best for a time.
